I am a firm believer in Stealth 5 and so are my customers.

Stealth 5 in tubs helps start calves easier and healthier with less stress. Stress Lic helped with the rate of gain and health of the calf.

Using Hydro-Lac reduced my shrink from 10% to around 3% on shipping heifers.

“After we switched to Tend-R-Leen, our cattle have been averaging 4 lbs rate of gain a day where before it was around 2.5 lbs a day. Some cattle were even up to 5 lbs a day. We’re very excited. It was like getting back on the saddle again.”

Steve values the importance of rate of gain to his operation. “It’s the only number that counts. Your feed helps us a lot to achieve those goals. We were not supposed to finish a group of cattle until October, but we were able to finish them in August due to the increased rate of gain. The cattle grew quick.”

Logan also explained that the cattle seem healthier on Tend-R-Leen and the Tend-R-Leen pellets are much better quality with much less fines than the previous pellet they had been using.

We shipped 50 bulls from MN to Texas about 1,100 miles (18 hours) and fed Hydro-Lac four days prior to shipping at a ½ lb. rate.  The bulls, averaging 2,173 lbs. dressed out at 56-58%.  In comparison, we shipped two bulls only 100 miles (2 hours) with no Hydro-Lac, and they dressed out at 52%. We were impressed!

In warm weather, it’s a no brainer! It just makes good sense. Hydro-Lac is a tool that should be in everybody’s cattle feeding toolbox.

Trent Thoennes is on his third year of feeding Form-A-Feed products to his small beef herd. Two specific products Trent has had luck with are the Encompass Mineral Lic with DE-G and Tend-R-Leen 525. Trent said since he has started on the Encompass Mineral Lic 2 or 3 years ago, he has not had any issues with pink eye in his herd. Since he has started using Tend-R-Leen 525, his calves are weaning better and they are finishing faster and blocking up quicker at a younger age. Trent says, “It’s been pretty awesome” since he has switched.

We started using the Tend-R-Leen 525 NBC product last year on our calves on pasture to make up a creep feed using our corn out of the bin so there wasn’t so much out-of-pocket expense.  We mixed it ourselves and used our seed tender to deliver it to creep feeders on pasture. We feel the Rumensin® in the pellet kept the coccidiosis and bloat problems under control and the consumption stayed steady.  The calves seemed to wean easier than the past because they knew what corn was and went right to the corn silage. The calves didn’t show any more flesh than when we used a conventional creep.
