Enger Grain & Livestock of Marion, ND was recognized this year as the 2021 Form-A-Feed Outstanding Cattleman of the Year.

This is the 6th year Form-A-Feed has awarded an Outstanding Cattleman of the Year Award. To qualify for this award, a Form-A-Feed representative must nominate a recipient for their commitment and involvement in the cattle industry, community, and country.

Enger Grain & Livestock is a 3rd generation diversified grain and livestock operation operated by Delray & Jeff Enger along with their sons Brandon and Justin.

The Enger’s are dedicated stewards of North Dakota’s land and natural resources.  In spring 2022, they are set to complete construction of a new barn with deep pit storage and concrete slatted floors. This addition will help them utilize locally produced feeds, provide valuable manure nutrients, keep livestock healthy, and sustainably contain manure for more efficient land use.

“Enger grain & livestock is diversified family operation that I’ve had the pleasure of working with for the last 5 years,” explained Tom Staniszewski, Enger’s Form-A-Feed nutritionist.  “They are very conscious of the environment and have been using good manure management practices and continue to make improvements. They are very involved with the church and the Awana program, as well as serving on various Boards. They definitely fit Form-A-Feed’s core values of family, respect, and integrity. It was truly my pleasure to nominate them as this year’s Outstanding Cattleman of the Year.”

RON NOREN AWARD

Each year, the Form-A-Feed Outstanding Cattleman Award winners select a person or organization from their community who they would like to ‘pay it forward’ to with the monetary Ron Noren Award. This year, Enger Grain & Livestock chose the North Marian Reformed Church to purchase supplies for the Awana program.

The Ron Noren Award is not only a monetary award designed to give back to the community, but it is also an award to honor the memory of the late Ron Noren, a former Form-A-Feed employee who passed away in 2013.
