Joe & Alan Henning have seen great results with adding Hydro-Lic to their feed lot. With a consumption rate of ½ pound per head for 4 days prior to shipping, they saw a strong reduction in shrink, better yield and increase in grade. Two loads of Holstein steers were shipped out in August 2024. See chart below for details. On August 29, 2024, Joe and Alan shipped out a group of Holstein steers that had 16.41% Prime Grade and 83.59% Choice Grade (no Select) after using the Hydro-Lic tub right before shipping. Comparatively, in September 2023, the Hennings sold a group of Holstein steers that had only 6.05% Prime Grade and 78% Choice, 10.85% Select, and 4.93% Standard.
