Swine Feeding Projections – April 29, 2019

Changes week over week:
- Open-market value of weaned pigs were steady while feeder pigs were up $1 per head
- Open corn was steady and SBM prices for the feeding period were up $8 per ton
- Carcass prices fell by $3 per cwt for the week
- A weaned pig purchased on the open market is showing a breakeven while purchasing feeder pigs is showing a loss of $6 per head.
