Swine Feeding Projections – May 28, 2019

Changes week over week:
- Open-market values of weaned pigs for the week were down $3 to $52.47 while feeder pigs were down $6 per head at $75.48
- Open corn price was up $0.25 per bushel for the week on continued planting delay concerns, while SBM was up $8.50 per ton
- Carcass prices as of Monday were down $4.51 for the October marketings
- A weaned pig purchased on the open market is showing a profit of $4.81 while purchasing feeder pigs is showing a loss of $5.25.
