Swine Feeding Projections – May 20, 2019

Changes week over week:
- Open-market value of weaned pigs for the week were down $2 to $55.53 while feeder pigs were down $7 per head at $82.06
- Open corn price was up sharply for the week on continued planting delay concerns
- Carcass prices as of Monday are sitting at $83.31 for the October marketings
- A weaned pig purchased on the open market is showing a profit of $3.50 while purchasing feeder pigs is showing a break even.
