Changes week over week:
- Open-market value of weaned pigs were steady at $36.55 per head and feeder pigs were down by $9 per head at $54.04.
- Carcass prices for the week are $72.38 /cwt.
- Open corn prices continue to trend higher for the feeding period is $4.50 /bu.
- SBM price for the week is $311 per ton.
- Open-market weaned pig profitability is showing a loss of $6 per head based on purchasing a cash traded weaned pig.
- Feeder pig profitability is also showing a loss of $4 per head based on purchasing a cash traded feeder pig.
